Don't have an account?Don't have an account?Rumo, the largest railway concessionaire in the country, inaugurated three train service stations in Pátio de Tutóia, located in the municipality of Araraquara (SP).This is the largest investment made by Rumo in railway infrastructure in São Paulo. The stations, which are part of Rumo's largest supply complex, will be in charge of handling the train's operation in the Paulista Network and in Operation North as a whole. The expansion of the infrastructure allows part of the trains to be diverted out of the Central Region, an old demand since the start of the track removal works. The infrastructure is capable of serving up to four trains or 14 locomotives simultaneously, without the need for maneuvers. The infrastructure has an estimated investment of R$140 million (about US$25 million). The new gas station is part of the compensation granted to the municipality in the interior of the state in the obligations for the early renewal of the Malha Paulista concession contract.“This investment in the Tutóia shipyard represents a gain of 144% in diesel storage capacity, which brings more predictability to the operation. In addition, we are reducing the transit time by around 1h24 in the section between Rondonópolis (MT) and Santos (SP), which currently lasts 84 hours”, said the president of the concessionaire, Beto Abreu. The expansion of the infrastructure allows part of the trains to be diverted out of the Central region, an old requirement since the start of the track removal works. In total, there will be three stations that, according to the company, are part of the largest supply complex and will be responsible for providing service to railway operations in the Operativa Paulista, Central and Norte networks.
